Modern music categorization doesn’t capture the instinct or the spontaneity that music conveys. That's why we set out to create a product that shares music through emotion. We're able to do just that using 3 key processes. We use the Google Cloud Natural Language API to process lyrics, Recurrent Neural Networks to process emotion using pitch, instruments and sound, and lastly we use k-means clustering as a way to categorize each song into different emotions.
